Some children are naturally afraid of dogs and either cry or shrink away when they're approached by something large and furry. Keoni is not one of those children. When she came over for a visit some years ago, she followed Arthur around like a little sidekick and looked him straight in the face, even though he was practically her size (she was 15 months old in these pictures). Not one flinch out of that girl.
It was Arthur's first time around a small person, and he didn't quite know what to make of someone who could follow him right under the table. Still, I think he liked all the attention.
