Today's Rescue - Camarillo Prospects
My mom and her fiance have decided to adopt a second dog as a companion for Charlie, their Great Dane/Lab mix, and are committed to rescuing from the local shelter. Hooray! Charlie came from the Ventura County animal shelter, as did their previous dog, Sugie, a Ridgeback/Lab/Pit mix, who disappeared unexpectedly last May, most likely the victim of a Mountain Lion attack (see May 6 post). Sugie was, and Charlie is, such a good dog. True testaments to the quality of adoptee to be had.
We'll start our search in earnest next week, when my mom and her fiance get back from a trip, but in the meantime, I've been scoping the V.C. web site. As always, they have really nice dogs.
