Some good news and some not-so-good news:
Tito the shaved collie at North Central (see Feb. 21 and Feb. 13 posts) was rescued over the weekend and is now with a foster, who reports that he is very affectionate and good with both dogs and cats. Plus, his fur is growing back quite nicely!

He is such a love - friendly, well behaved. He would be a great dog for a family. I've been sending out pleas for him for weeks, but no one has come for him. Please, please save him before it's too late.
Animal champion and shelter volunteer Jane Garcia has this to say:
I have been watching Denny since he arrived. He is the dearest boy - so friendly and eager for love. He sits at the front of his cage looking sad and hopeful, waiting for a savior. When people approach, his little tail starts to thump, and he gets so excited in anticipation that somebody might give him some love. He is really good with his kennel mates, too. It's the last chance for Denny, a really good dog who just wants a little attention and would make such a nice companion. If you can help him in any way, especially in the form of donations to a rescue so they can pull him, please consider it. All the dogs deserve to be rescued, but it's especially awful when the really nice ones get put down.
