Today's Rescue - L.A. County Shelters

What is particularly sad to me about the L.A. County shelters is that they don't name the animals, at least not on their Web site. The ones dumped surrendered by their owners were obviously called something, and those names are usually listed on the information cards tacked to their cages, but when you're browsing online, it's just age, breed and impound number. What's up with that?

In today's post, I gave each dog a name based solely on his or her picture, just so they would seem more like pets and less like statistics. It made me feel a tiny little bit better.
