Today's Rescue - More East Valley

This is Rocky, and he is out of time. Surviving another day is a tenuous business for any shelter dog, but for Rocky, who was adopted out of the shelter as a youngster and turned back in as a senior (real nice), the euth room is looming large. He has been at East Valley for 2 months.

Rocky went to the shelter's mobile adoption event last Sunday, where he made a big impression on some of the volunteers - apparently, he is very sweet, good with other dogs and children, heels on the leash, loves biscuits - but not many people are willing to take a 10-year-old dog, no matter how nice he may be. Rocky went back into a cage Sunday night, and back onto the red list. East Valley is no longer taking names of "interested parties" to buy time for him, and unless he is rescued in the next few days, he will be put down.

It's so heartbreaking to see an old dog die at the shelter, especially when they've already apparently lived a hard life. Look at those soulful eyes! Rocky needs a rescuer.
