Today's Rescue - Pasadena Humane Society

I've never been to the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, but I've noticed that they, like some rescue organizations, post short movie clips of individual dogs available for adoption on their Web site. I love that. Plus, they offer free or low cost spay/neuter services and dog training classes for residents in their service area (Pasadena, S. Pasadena, San Marino, La Canada/Flintridge, Sierra Madrea, Arcadia and Glendale).

And just look at some of their dogs!

(Clockwise, from top left)

FEMALE PIT BULL TERRIER MIX
1 year old
ID#: A210258
(This girl is apparently a shelter favorite with her sweet, affectionate disposition. She walks well on leash, knows her basic commands and loves children. And so cute! I do love a pit with floppy ears.)

MALE CHOW CHOW MIX
10 years old
ID#: A211945

DAISY
Female dalmatian mix
8 years old
ID#: A210877

TINY
Female labrador retriever mix

FEMALE PIT BULL TERRIER MIX

MALE JACK RUSSELL TERRIER MIX

And a few more, also clockwise from top left:

Female labrador retriever mix

TREK
Male boxer/pit bull terrier

This may be sacrilegious: posting about cats on Arthur's blog, but we adopted 2 senior cats last weekend at the Pasadena shelter. The cats, Petey (formerly Meaty) and Dixie (formerly a stray) are lovely and grateful to have a home. The Pasadena shelter is a great place with a lot of great pets-to-be. Go forth and adopt!

This is Petey:
