Last month, as part of L.A. Animal Services' ongoing, voter-approved, rebuild-and-expand project, the East Valley shelter moved into a fancy new facility on Vanowen Street in Van Nuys. Although the larger, "lavishly landscaped" compound now accommodates 156 dog kennels (up from the previous 60), they are already at almost full capacity. (I really hope they were able to hire some new vets, too.)
Adopt some East Valley dogs today!
