I'm not quite sure what ferris wheels and animal rescue have in common, but I don't care - whatever works. Tomorrow, Sunday, May 4, you can ride the giant, solar-powered ferris wheel in Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier for free, and when you do, the park will donate $1 to spcaLA. It's a win-win situation. (The wheel is being torn down on Monday to make way for a bigger, fancier version.)
SpcaLA will also have an outreach booth on the pier from 11am - 3pm (with adoptable dogs!), and the pier itself will be open from 11am - 9pm.
