Dear Arthur -
Chris and I left the countryside to spend a few days in London before heading back to California, and stayed with a friend whose flat was walking distance from Portobello Road. So, naturally, we had to do a bit of shopping.
Among the treasures there: a painting of a spaniel in a fancy gold frame, a scruffy little black dog (not for sale), and a brass paperweight that reminded me of you when you were a puppy. Which one do you think I brought home?
