Today's Rescue - Kidd and Cassidy

These two pooches - Kidd, a female 7-year-old labrador retriever mix, and Cassidy, a male 7-year-old shepherd mix, came to the West Valley shelter at different times for different reasons, but have become very good friends. Apparently, they sleep together on the same blanket. I've no idea if the shelter staff was being funny with their names, but wouldn't it be nice if they were adopted into the same household?

I meant to post four dogs today, but this morning, when I went to check the status of two of them, they were no longer on the shelter websites. Let's all pray to the shelter gods that they were adopted and not euthanized.

The shelters in L.A. and the surrounding areas are incredibly, shockingly full. Adopt a dog today!
