Buttons, my auntie's beloved little senior beagle, died in her sleep early Sunday morning after a long, courageous fight with several illnesses and afflictions. I will always remember her as the family dog who, as a puppy, jumped up on the dining table one Thanksgiving and ate the turkey. She really did love her food, that girl. In fact, she was a hearty eater right up to (almost) the very end.
She was a credit to her breed.
Rest in peace, little Buttons. We will miss you.
