Sweet, sweet Oliver, my brother-in-law's parents' cocker spaniel mix, had to be put to sleep late last night after suffering a massive heart attack. Oliver was adopted with preexisting heart issues (thank you Ed and Charlene for being THAT kind of rescuer), but had a good life and was beloved by all, especially the children in his suburban Maryland neighborhood. He will be missed.
Rest in peace, little moppet. You were a good boy.
