Quincy, Shop Dog
A few weeks ago I took a part-time job at George, my favorite pet store and recent Santa Monica migratee (see Nov 18 post). The manager encouraged me to bring Arthur to be my "shop dog" on the days I was working, and I brought him once to see how he'd do, but he kept running to the door every time it opened. Quincy, the manager's Beagle/Jack Russell rescue, works the meet-and-greet on all the other days, and she is so good: doesn't bark, doesn't spazz out, doesn't give any attitude. Here she is modeling a sweater and a bed that we sell at the store.
If Arthur were there, the pillow would have to be three times bigger.
