I don't know how to pronounce her name, but I know that she's a pretty girl! Nauru was pulled from the South L.A. shelter last Wednesday night along with Millie the Jack Russell (see yesterday's post), and is currently in a foster home waiting to be adopted by a permanent family. Nauru is a 4-year-old Shepherd/Chow Chow mix, housetrained and very sweet. I like how in the above picture, she is sitting right next to a shoe, but not chomping on it. Good girl! They say that rescued dogs know they've been rescued, and while I think that's not always the case, Nauru looks like she's very happy to be out of a cage.
