Breed This
I just read an article in Sunday's New York Times Magazine which talked about the differences of opinion that exist in the dog-breeding community about so-called "designer hybrid" dogs. You know, like puggles and boggles and bagels and such. It was a strange piece, and not just because I think militant breeders are the animal-world equivalents of white supremacists, but mostly because it was disconcertingly creepy to read about people speak so casually about playing God (if you will). Humans tinkering with genetics is a scary enough idea, but humans tinkering with genetics for their own weird satisfaction (and profit) seems egomaniacal and evil.
But that's just my opinion.
Arthur demonstrates how he feels about the subject.
