Today's Teddy

Nikki posted a great plea for Teddy last week on Ashley and Hobie, an online pet-rescue community board, and over 200 people have looked at it. (You can view it here.) We've had a couple of very nice, very generous responses, but still no rescue groups or potential adopters.

I think what we need, specifically, is:
  • a foster or an adopter without other pets (at least initially) who can handle a big, energetic dog
  • a trainer to help him channel his puppy-like energy
  • a rescue group to help facilitate his adoption
It sounds so simple! I've come to think of Teddy as a kind of Helen Keller of dogs (although he is far better behaved and socialized at age 3, and doesn't throw tantrums) - if you give up on him, he will waste away. But with time and effort, he could become a truly wonderful companion.

I can't give up on Teddy!
