Today's Rescue - L.A. County Shelters

I need to go to some of the County shelters. I've posted dogs off of their web site many times, but I've never actually been to any of the facilities even though there is one in Carson about 15 minutes away. I always go to the city shelters, and I've noticed that most of the dogs that are networked around town are also from L.A. Animal Services and not the County's Department of Animal Care and Control. LAAS is much more of a media presence (if you could call it that) as well. Why is that? I do wish the Lancaster shelter was closer because they always have nice dogs - a lot of them.
