Look, Mom, No Legs!

My friend, Nancy, just emailed me an article about a Maltese named Hope who was born without front legs. No front legs! An orthotist in Tennessee designed and built a prosthetic for Hope that features model airplane wheels attached to spring-loaded legs that swing forward and back so she can lay down without any problem. Ingenious! Apparently, Hope kept tipping over during early trials, but can now zip around quite quickly.
