Lick This

This is Handsome Dan, one of the pit bulls rescued from Michael Vick's dogfighting compound and now in residence at the Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah. Isn't he lovely? Dan, the BF trainers have found, likes ice chips more than any other treat.

Arthur, too, likes ice chips, especially on hot days, but last weekend, as a special treat and because I could think of no better way to spend $2, I bought him an alternative – frozen yogurt for dogs.


Yeah, it's absurd. He would've been happy with chicken broth frozen in a Dixie cup, but look at that carton! It's so cute. Plus, the ingredients are all organic. Arthur couldn't finish the whole container in one sitting.

It was too much frosty goodness.
