Chris and I were trolling around a used bookstore in Burbank a couple weeks ago, and I came across this beautiful, first edition, out-of-print book of dog stories published in 1943. I immediately scooped it up, not because I'm into stories about dogs per se, or even because pages of the book are magnificently screen printed, but because the dust jacket unfolds to reveal an illustrated "Dog Map of the World" with a double border of sixty-six breeds and their places of origin just begging to be framed and hung on the wall. Don't mind if I do!
I'm a dog freak and a book freak and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
