Today's Rescue - Sammy

Oh man, the head tilt – I am a sucker for the head tilt.

This is Sammy, a male, 2-ish-year-old American staffordshire terrier who was abandoned in the West Valley shelter parking lot in June and currently available for adoption. Judging by the hack job on his ears, Sammy was probably meant to be someone's mean guard dog, but as he loves dogs and people – is quite gentle, apparently, even with children – was dumped at the shelter for others to care for. Poor Sammy. Such a sweet guy.

In an ideal world, Sammy would find a home with a nice person who would love him and treat him like a member of the family, not tie him up outside as a "protector" or worse yet, as bait.

Save Sammy!

That head tilt is so sweet. And I love those eyes.
