Yes, the Obamas' new dog is a Portuguese water dog named Bo. No, he did not come from a shelter or rescue group. Yes, we are very disappointed.

Let's just hope he becomes the poster boy for neutering.
(disclosure: Bo, apparently, was a gift from Senator Ted Kennedy and had originally been purchased from a breeder and returned.)
