After my sister and brother-in-law returned home from their 3-week-long Peruvian vacation, Arthur seemed perplexed by the fact that a repacking, and not an unpacking, was taking place. Hiking gear was replaced by sun-and-sand gear, which was then stuffed back into the dreaded suitcases.
It was all very chaotic and happened so fast, I don't think Arthur really had time to be sad. He just looked confused. I thought maybe he'd get pissed later in the day - a kind of delayed reaction - and stomp around the house acting bratty. But he never did.
Maybe he thinks it was all a dream.
