Crazy Like A Fox Felon

To add to today's previous highbrow post on Captain and Tennille, here's an update on crazy cloner lady, Bernann McKinney - the woman who recently paid $50,000 to have some duplicates made of her deceased pooch, Booger, in China. As it turns out, Ms. McKinney was once known as Joyce McKinney, the woman who made headlines in 1978 after she kidnapped a Mormon missionary, chained him to a bed and, when he wouldn't agree to marry her, forced him to have sex with her. I kid you not.

She spent three months in jail, then used a fake passport to flee to Canada disguised as a mime (yes, a mime), then later, as a nun, then posed topless in a few men's magazines before getting arrested again.

Over the next five years, Bernann/Joyce got involved in drugs and prostitution, getting arrested for a third time after police caught her stalking the previously mentioned Mormon missionary at his workplace with rope and handcuffs in her car. She was released on bail, however, and didn't show up for her trial, and the charges were dropped. She then moved to North Carolina where she broke into an animal shelter to rescue a dog.

And now, after all the press surrounding her cloning purchase in China, law officials in Carter County, Tennessee are claiming that McKinney is the same woman who fled charges of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and contributing to the delinquincy of a minor in 2004 (she convinced a 15-year-old boy to break into a house to steal money that she needed to BUY A FAKE LEG FOR HER HORSE.) She didn't show up for that trial either, and now she's in big, big trouble.

Ms. McKinney, it seems, has left China in a hurry, and without her precious cloned puppies.

CRA-ZY

(My apologies for this insane post, but the details were just too good not to mention.)
